Healthy Wheat Banana Bread

This is seriously so yummy and also good for you! Plus I am always a sucker for banana bread!


Yield: makes 1 4×8 loaf


  • 3 overripe bananas
  • 1/3 cup coconut oil (melted)
  • 1 egg
  • 2 tsp lemon juice
  • 1/2 cup almond milk
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 cup whole wheat flour
  • 1/2 cup white flour
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar or honey


  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees f, and grease a 4×8 bread loaf pan
  2. In a medium size bowl, mash the bananas with a fork until smooth and add lemon juice. Set aside.
  3. In mixing bowl mix all the wet ingredients.
  4. In a separate medium sized mixing bowl add dry ingredients and mix.
  5. In the wet ingredient bowl add banana mixture. Then slowly add the dry ingredients in as well.
  6. Pour the batter into the prepared pan. Bake for 45-55 minutes or until toothpick comes out clean
  7. Remove from oven and allow to cool before serving. Enjoy!
